WCELfest is an annual one day event organised by the Waikato Centre for eLearning. This is a fantastic opportunity for staff and colleagues to meet up, share and discover how people are using learning technologies to make a difference. Each WCELfest event's resources are linked via the navigation on the left.
WCELfest2016 - New Visions
WCELfest16 was held on Thursday 11th February 2016 and had the largest number of attendees to date. Recordings from the day are available on the WCELfest2016 resources page including Professor Terry Anderson's Keynote Address: Engagement and quality in blended and flipped classrooms and the New VIsions for New Learning Panel where senior staff discussed their visions and expectations for learning and teaching in their Faculties, and across the University as a whole.
WCELfest2015 - Sharing Our Stories - Reflecting on learning & technology
We were very pleased to host internationally recognised eportfolio leader, Dr Helen Barrett, who delivered the keynote address. Check out the WCELfest2015 resources page for recordings of the day's events.
WCEL are always happy to host visiting speakers and facilitate presentations and workshops. The WCEL Team have been fortunate to have had visits from some real superstars including Professor Gráinne Conole, Beverley Leeds, Steve Wheeler and George Siemens.
